You’ve tried motivation. You’ve tried habits. You’ve tried affirmations.
But nothing changes if the identity stays the same.
You didn’t consciously choose everything you believe about yourself.
Some of it came from childhood. Some came from relationships. Some came from experiences you survived, things people said, expectations you absorbed, and conclusions you made about yourself along the way.
Eventually, those beliefs stop feeling like beliefs.
They start feeling like who you are.
And that’s the problem with trying to change your life without looking at the identity underneath it. You can change the habit. Repeat the affirmation. Set another goal.
But if the same identity is still looking through the same window, you’ll keep finding your way back to familiar patterns.
You can’t step into a new life while continually recreating the old one
